Nassau Dolphin Encounters

The Dolphin Encounters allow everyone the opportunity to interact with gentle bottlenose dolphins. Guests enjoy a twenty minute ride to the Blue Lagoon Island via a high speed catamaran.

The departure dock is located at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal on Marina Drive between the two bridges on Paradise Island. The office is within walking distance of the Atlantis Resort and the Comfort Suites Paradise Island Hotels. Guests should be at the Ferry Terminal at least 15 minutes prior to departure. The boat will not wait after the scheduled departure time.

Guests should bring a beach towel, swim suit (one piece suite for women), change of clothes, and credit cards travelers check or US$ cash. Changing rooms, showers and lockers are available. The large gift shop offers unique souvenirs, towels and beach clothing. Snacks and sodas can be purchased at the Blue Lagoon.

The photo and video lab offers personalized pictures of dolphin interactions. Photos come in a variety of sizes from photo keychains, framed 5x7" or 8x10" photos or a complete personalized photo album.

Visitors to Nassau, Bahamas including those from cruise ships as well as those staying on the island can choose from several plans to swim with the dolphins. Professional photographers take each person's picture with the dolphins.

Advance reservations necessary. Only four encounters are scheduled each day, with a limited number of participants.


The Dolphin Experience Rates

Dolphin Close Encounter
US$ 85 per person
An unforgettable experience for all ages. Interact with the dolphins from a waist deep platform. Heartwarming interactions include the kiss, hug, and dolphin dance.

Guests 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a paying adult at least 18 years. Guests 4 to 12 years pay the adult price and must be accompanied by participating paying adult. This program may include up to 30 persons per platform.

Swim With Dolphins
US$ 165 per person

Swim and interact with the dolphins for thirty minutes in the protected waters and the natural environment of the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy a mix of dolphin behaviors and relaxing swimming. Highlights include the incredible foot push by the dolphins.

Guests 5 or younger are not allowed in this program. Guests 6-12 must be accompanied by a participating paying adult 18 years or older. Teens 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult who needs to sign the liability waiver.

No pregnant women are allowed in the Dolphin Swim. It is recommended that woman wear a one piece bathing suit. This program may include up to ten persons per platform.


Observers
US$ 20 per person
The fee includes roundtrip boat ride to and from Blue Lagoon Island (Salt Cay) and use of the company facilities. Observers may have a partially obstructed view of activities and are not allowed on program platforms.

Families with children 5 or younger observing programs are required to have an adult or guardian at least 18 years old as a paid observer supervising the children on the deck.

Guests may bring their own cameras and videocams . Remember that dolphins splash and the Dolphin Encounters company is not responsible for any damage to equipment.

These rates are for guests staying at hotels or condos in Nassau or Paradise Island. Visitors arriving by cruise ship must pay the rates charged by their cruise line..
