Antigua is south
of St. Martin, east of St. Kitts, and north of Guadeloupe.
Antigua has 108 square miles with the highest point 1,360
feet above sea level. The language is English, and the population
is 66,000 residents. Antigua became an independent nation
in 1981.
Activities include
deep sea fishing, golf, sailing, shopping, snorkeling, and
tennis. There are 365 white sandy beaches - one for every
day of the year!
The Island has
a historic and cultural background which can be experienced
by visiting the Museum in St. John's, Nelson's Dockyard
at English Harbour, the Interpretation Centre at Shirley
Heights, and the sugar mill restoration at Betty's Hope.
